Job Description: The primary function of the PACU/Pre-Op nurse is
that of professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability
through the nursing process for the ambulatory care patient during surgical
procedures. Elements of care include
assessing patient, assisting co-workers in administering care and
documentation.
Preferred Skills/Requirement:
Graduate of an Accredited School
of Nursing with a current RN license in the state of Delaware. Current BCLS certification, ACLS
preferred. Experience functioning in
both circulation and scrub roles with the ability to manage the care of
patients during altered states of consciousness. Ability to perform physically demanding
patient care. Excellent communication,
reasoning and decision making skills required. Ability to provide nursing care
as directed in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and
protocols of the Surgery Center. Send
