Job Description: The Patient Account representative is responsible for reconciling discrepancies and collecting on delinquent accounts. Presents a positive image to supporting staff members and patients at all times.
Preferred Skills: High School Diploma or Associates Degree in related field, previous experience in healthcare collection/billing, excellent communication and computer skills, good working knowledge of medical terminology CPT and ICD-10 coding. Ability to maintain good working relationships with all co-workers, patients and general public. Knowledge of state laws and statutes. Understanding of legal process involving medical claims. Understanding and react to developing trends in healthcare reimbursements.
